The Debate: Everytime some body stupid is making a tribute to bhagat singh or subhash chandra boss or even nathuram godse he/she makes it a point to do gandhi bashing, specifically mohandas karam chand gandhi bashing (i dont care about rahul/sonia/priyanka gandhi bashing). Sometimes they would quote excerpts from Nathuram Godse's testimony during his trial or use some other quotes and make statements like gandhi was a muslim appeaser and a stupid guy because of he couldn't stop the blood shed that happened during partition or they would say that gandhi is overrated. or simply curse him and say he was stupid. I fucking hate such people. I am not a congress man but i really hold mahatma gandhi in the highest regard because i think he was the most brilliant and intelligent leader that india ever produced
below is an example of the kind of gandhi bashing i am talking about. ( this idiot ankush thinks that godse was a national hero and gandhi was a villain)
Crux of my Argument:
Gandhi was a most shrewd, intelligent, brilliant leader. Don't think of him as a preacher. Rever him for his sheer brilliance. India has not given birth to a person as charismatic and as brilliant as him since. he was able to overcome the hatred and mistrust that indians have for each other and become the leader of our country. nobody else has been able to do that after that.
Elaborate Arguement:
This argument is related to another idea of mine that we guys are racist, and bigoted and duplicitous. Leading us is almost impossible because of these qualities of ours. We like to dive down into rituals and religious ceremonies to escape our problems rather than facing them, and did i mention that we distrust each other a lot. There is only one way to lead us, through religion. We simply refuse to listen to logic, to improve our life and to work for our happiness. We would rather be lazy and corrupt than doing what we want to and keeping our integrity.
If you guys agree with the above hyper linked ideas than you can definitely appreciate the kind of intelligence that it takes to lead us. Given all these problems, gandhi was able to maneuver to become the leader of the Indian People and he led them to revolt against britishers. He was an amazing leader who was an outsider when he came to india from south africa and became the head of Indian National Congress. Nobody else in that party had the vision and the sheer brilliance that he had , that's it.
