Spotter

I was one of the Spotters of SpotOn040. The goal of SpotOn040 is to spend 1 hour with a Kid so the parents have an hour for themselves. The matchmakers match the interest of the Kids with the Spotters. They are individually matched with a Spotter. After the match the Kid, the parents and the Spotter meet to talk about the goal of participating in the program for mostly 1 year. The Kids decide wat they want to do in that hour not the parents or the Spotter. Some start a shop, others play table tennis without a table, others do homework, etc.  The kids are between 9 - 12 years old and are having fun and being creative. The Spotter is there to facilitate the knowledge they don't have and sometimes the network.

'Galgje'

I started immediately with two kids with each a different question for the 1 hour they had. One thing they both liked the one time I had them at the same time was 'Galgje' (Hangman). I took a piece of paper and asked them to mention each 5 things they wanted to do in the 1 hour. After that they had to choose one and that became 'Galgje'. At first, they didn't notice I was always saying a wrong letter, because they were competing against each other. One even asked his mother to stay a bit longer to finish another round of 'Galgje'. 

This is one of the 17 sustainability goals the world must reach in 2030, education for everyone!
