LOS PRODUCTOS DE ECUADOR
Objective: at the end of class students will be able to write a text about the typical food in their country.
Level: beginning Spanish students (second semester).
Time: 40 minutes approximately.
Materials: printed students' handout with the vocabulary list, reading texts and the activities that will be used in class.
Pre-knowledge: students have already been introduced the vocabulary related to food.
Description: students will be exposed to food related vocabulary by immersing and reading three short texts about the typical food in Ecuador. Then, they will be guided through different pre-reading, guided-reading and after reading activities in order to guarantee a deep understanding of the text. Finally, students will have to prepare different headings for each text extract and to decide the healthiest products of the texts.
