Post date: Feb 22, 2018 7:19:33 PM

Join your colleagues for the last meeting of the school year. There will be light refreshments served from 8:30 – 9:00 AM. This is to give participants an opportunity to relax and meet/talk/discuss with others interested in physics and physics education.

The fourth meeting of 2017/2018 will focus on aspects of physics in “the real world.”

Amusement Park Physics! “Old time physics” will be discussed; how to explore physics concepts with simple equipment. The use of horizontal and spring accelerometers, stopwatches, and pace will be demonstrated and discussed.

The physics involved in baseball/softball will be examined whether at a Twins game, a high school game or a pick-up game or just fooling around in the backyard.
