Notes from Our Meeting:

Modern physics topics seem to be interesting, but challenging to teach. This month’s meeting of Go4ST8 will provide ideas on how to better integrate 20th century physics into our classrooms.

Find out about CERN, Fermilab and the Perimeter Institute and how the resources provided by them can be accessed. Learn about Quarknet and some of the activities that are discussed during their workshops. Do a couple of activities that can be instantly added to your lessons. Finally, view the tracks that are part of our logo from a cloud chamber.

The meeting is on November 8 at Minnetonka High School at 9 AM. Stop in by 8:30 for refreshments and fellowship. As always, the meetings are free and open to the public. Bring a friend.

Use some computer printout cards to see the progression at the dawn of the universe. The quark game: http://bit.ly/quarkgame has 1 sheet of instructions and 2 sheets of cards for students to print out.
