Volunteer at the Hearing Aid Gala. Check-in time is around 4:30 but that is when we get our job for the night and eat our dinner so if you will be a littler later, it would be okay. We will also hear about the history of the cafe & bakery. Andre's is a family owned and run Kansas City business that has been making exquisite Swiss chocolates candies and confections since 1955. Our optional philanthropy is collecting hats and mittens or gloves for Children's Mercy Hospital's Hearing and Speech Clinic.

THRIVE is a 2-year residential college experience for intellectually challenged young adults to build skills for transitioning from home to independence. Karen is the coordinator. It is said that this museum is wonderful! ‘During your visit you will hear the legendary tale of the loss & discovery of the Steamboat Arabia & it’s 200 tons of cargo.’
Meet near the ticket counter at 10:45 A.M. They give tours every thirty minutes, so we hope to take the 11:00 A.M. tour. It is recommended to allow about an hour and a half for the visit. After the Museum tour we plan to eat lunch at one of the restaurants in the City Market and do a little shopping for some fresh produce. We would love for you to join us for this also.
Tickets are $14.50 for an adult. Seniors over age 60 are $13.50. Children from 4-12 are $5.50 and under 3 are free.
Feel welcome to bring any spouses, friends or kids. Feel free to let me know if you are coming so we can be on the lookout for you.
