1. John Pead, Sr., (1588 - 163?)

John Pead was born about 1588, probably in England.

He immigrated to the colonies aboard the Southampton. On 21 JAN 1624/25 he was 35 years old and a servant at Jordan's Journey, in Charles City County by 21 JAN 1624/25.

John Pead was married to Mary, whom some researchers claim to be Mary PEMBROKE. John died sometime before 1638, possibly in Charles River County (now York County), VA.

Mary Pead married second to Joseph HAM. Joseph wrote his will on 3 MAR 1637/38 in Charles River County and named his wife Mary and children John and Catherine Pead. It is not known when Mary Pead Ham died.

2. John Pead, Jr., (c1626 - 1678)

John Pead, Jr. was born about 1626. He was underage when his stepfather Joseph HAM wrote his will in 1637/38.

John Pead may have married to ?Judith? BRAY.

In 1652 John Pead patented 150 acres of land in Lower Norfolk County, VA given him for transporting John and Mary Pead and John Motley into the colony.

By 1661, John Pead also had dealings in Surry County, being mentioned in court records there.

John Pead wrote his will on 4 FEB 1677/78 and it was probated on 15 APR 1678 in Norfolk County, VA. He mentioned his sons William and John by name, then states he has other children and wife but does not name them.

3. Pembroke Pead, (1648 - 1693)

Pembroke Pead was born about 1648. About 1664 she married Thomas HARDIN. They had two daughters: Ann and Mary.

Pembroke Pead married Richard Hargrave before 15 MAY 1693 when he petitioned the court of Norfolk County, VA for her portion of her father John Pead's estate.
