Requirement Maintenance

This screen allows you to maintain your Project's Requirements. There is no limit to the number of Requirements which may be assigned to a Project.

The screen comprises 4 main parts:-

  • The button bar, top, provides access to the Project's component parts
  • The Project Name keeps you informed that you are working on the correct Project
  • The Requirement List, left, is where you select the Requirement to work on. The current Requirement is highlighted as bold
  • 'Requirement Maintenance' is where you update your Project's details

The Button Bar provides the following options:-

Requirement Maintenance

Fields shown:

Parent Maintenance

When you click 'Parent' the above screen is displayed. It shows all Requirements that may be valid parents for your current Requirement. Note that 'Design' is not shown - a requirement cannot be its own parent, nor can any of its 'children'.

Click on the option you wish to be the new parent

Or, click on Top Level if the requirement is to be at the top level, equivalent to 'Project Management' in our example

Or, click Back if you don't want to make a change.
