1970 G.I. jOE ADVENTURE TEAM  ~ AIR ADVENTURER (code 7403)

The  G.I. jOE Air Adventurer came with blonde (flocked) life-like hair and beard and brown eyes.

 The boxed Air Adventurer included:

 - Uniform (Orange zippered jump suit with label GI JOE R Hong Kong);

- Boots (a pair of short black boots);

 - Dog tag (Grey plastic dog tag with Adventure Team (AT) logo on one side, GI JOE on the other side  and a silver metal bead chain);

 - Insignia (Not a military insignia but a red circle "AT" sticker, representative for the Adventure Team);  

- Shoulder Holster (Black hard plastic holster and strap with raised print "HASBRO HONG KONG"); 

 - Pistol (Actually it was a  hard plastic revolver, a grey Modèle 1892 revolver with black grips); 

 Boot Removal instructions and Adventure Team club paperwork were packed with every Adventure Team box.

In 1974, following the lead of British GI Joe licensee Palitoy, Hasbro introduced their own version of gripping hands; "Kung Fu Grip" hands for the Adventure Team G.I. jOEs;

 The Air Adventurer with Kung Fu grip (code 7282)  included the same uniform, insignia, boots, dog tag. For the Kung-Fu Grip G.I.jOEs  a black scoped rifle with elastic sling replaced the shoulder holster and revolver that came with the 1970  - 1973  Adventure Team G.I.jOEs.

NOTE:  The Kung Fu Grip box packaging does not mention Dog Tag,  however the Air Adventurer with Kung Fu Grip had a grey plastic dog tag with the Adventure Team style logo on one side, GI JOE on the other side and silver metal bead chain.
