ABOUT US

The club was formed by Ian MacLean,Noel Harmer,Tony Beck,Gordon Crowe in 1989 calling themselves Norwich Busmen as they were all employed by Eastern Counties Omnibus Company. They started playing at the Norwich Lads Club starting with just roll ups and friendlies then joining the City of Norwich Short Mat Bowls League playing their first City League game on 17/09/91 away to Norman Centre where they lost 1-13. Gradually over the years the club got better and better moving up the league and winning various competitions.

In 1993 they moved to the British Legion premises on Aylsham Road in Norwich staying there until 2007 when they moved to their present location.

In 1997 to reflect the changes to the Company and the fact that half of the players were female it was decided to change the clubs name to the one used at present.
