In 140 ATC, a meteor fell to Sarella. This object landed in a remote valley in the south of Harithma and was later discovered to be a massive Titanic Axe. No one knows where it came from, though many believe it to be of the Gods, while other more scholarly types posit that it fell from Infernia, judging by the angle and design. In either case, no one is sure why it fell, how big its' master is, or why it has not tipped over in 900 years. A small town has sprung up around the base to support the moderate tourism there, with the most successful business being a tavern and inn built right up against the blade.
While everyone else in town identifies as a Northerner or Southerner, based on which side of the axe head they live on (all in good fun, of course), the Chopping Block has remained a neutral and immensely popular tavern. The taverns first floor is built right around the axe blade, which remains visible from inside. There are additions, a north and south wing; each are 3-story structures built against the Axe that contain dozens of rooms for travelers. The townsfolk enjoy a good, lively debate in the main hall each night about which side has the better rooms.
