History
Subheading defining era
Text about involvement in history, starting with origin.
Dwarves are the embodiment of the strength of the ancient Protoanth. They were formed after the death of the Elf of Might along with men and gnomes. They are generally poor with magic and are thusly one of the most technologically advanced races on Aboden, generally being viewed as second to Cyclops. Their culture is generally considered conservative, with men existing as higher ranking gender.

Should have alot of stuff here.
Clan Types
There are five types of clans that dominate Dwarven culture. There are smaller clan types based on regions, but these are rare and seen as odd.
YON
The most common clans are the "common" clans: Yon. Yon clans are composed of merchants, farmers, and warriors. They are unique among the others in that they do not have any distinctive codes or comprehensive traits. Members are usually allowed to follow their own paths, to some extent; Dwarven culture is nearly always strict and conservative.
BOR
The Bor are the second most common clan type. They are normally "companion" clans of Yon, serving as a collection of all Dwarves born with magic. Those born with magic are given to the clan as adolescents and are adopted to families of the Bor clan. Those born into Bor without magic will be given to lower class mundane Bor to live as servants.
HAL
Hal clans are known as "Knight" or "Nobel" clans. They have strict codes of chivalry and nearly always have complete and compulsory military service. The majority of them have no sexual dimorphism in roles for men and women. They are known to be some of the greatest warriors in Aboden. They fight wars incessantly to train and prefer to fight other Hal clans as they will follow similar rules of engagement. Their victory or defeat will also increase their prestige in the eyes of outsiders and other clans which will lead to more hiring of their soldiers as mercenaries. The money made from being hired out is given to the clan as a whole
VAL
Val clans are barbarian clans which fight massive wars for the taste of blood. There is again no sexual dimorphism in roles and compulsory military service, but they have no codes of conduct. While many clans are called Val, it is also an insult.
LUX
Lux clans are similar to Bor clans, but for Alysian magic rather than any other. They are similar to the High Elf standard culture, and in fact, most Lux clans are part of Alysia Epirreo.
Naming Conventions
Dwarf names are divided into four parts. The first name is a given name. The second name is a family name. The third identifies which of the five clan types they are from. The final part is the name of their clan. An example:
Jormund = His given name, may have meaning or family significance.
Kol = His family or surname. Identifies his family within his clan.
Hal = Identifies his clan as a knight clan.
Fenrose = His clan.
