Boundaries & Barriers
Project Overview
Boundaries & Barriers is a book project focused on domestic migration in Malawi and Zambia. Specifically we pay attention to the boundaries to entry and barriers to integration that migrants face during domestic moves and how those boundaries and barriers affect social integration, community participation, political participation, and social welfare.
The Data
The book primarily uses data from the 2019 implementation of the Local Governance Process Indicators (LGPI) survey in Malawi and Zambia. Insights are derived from observational and experimental analyses. The public version of the observation data can be found on the Harvard Dataverse.
