I grew up in rural Illinois with a lot of pets, a lot of plants, and tons of opportunities to learn new things. I discovered my love of mathematics in high school when I began participating in state math competitions.
After high school I obtained my B.S. in Mathematics at SIUE where I took my first statistics course. After undergrad, I began working on my PhD in Statistics at Texas A&M University focusing on network theory research. I obtained my PhD in August 2019.
Now I am a Researcher, Statistician and Head of the Data Team for the Governance and Local Development Institute at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden.
Check out the photos on this page to see what I do when I'm not working!
