Project Description:
A leading manufacturer of microcontrollers, microprocessors, and semiconductors in Chandler was having issues with intermittent lack of water from the nearby well. The lack of water had the potential to wreak havoc on the manufacturing process, resulting in costly downtime. Entellus was selected to design, and construct a new secondary water line which would deliver untreated groundwater to the plant from an alternate source. Serving as both a design engineer, and general contractor, Entellus oversaw the entire process beginning with survey, design, and utility coordination, and continuing all the way through bidding, construction and close out. Some of the challenges involved in the construction of the 2000-foot water line were the coordination with the City to shutdown the existing well site during the tie in, and coordination with utility companies to obtain permission to work in and around existing utilities and easements. Entellus also worked with the local community by prioritizing certain activities within the construction schedule to coincide with the Chandler School District’s fall break, thus minimizing the impact on local residents. With the final acceptance deadline set for Mid-December of this year, Entellus is on track to deliver this turnkey project on time and on budget.
