My Baby's Gone (Filtered)

HI-LIGHTS: US 1974. One of the First US Elvis Boot 45's! 'Please Release Me' WL. 'Not For Sale'. No cat. #. The Mega-Rare Original Insert wasn't properly centered & had Elvis' ass-cheeks cut-off! In 1967, an acetate of "My Baby's Gone" was the first Unreleased SUN Outtake discovered & is a Bluesy alternate version of "I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone". One side is direct from the acetate & the other side the bootlegger 'filtered' in an effort to clean up the Master. Although the label states, "Recorded in 1955", it was actually recorded 11/15/54. Exact pressing amount unknown. Est. 200. Most without Insert. ERR has All for YOU!!

On the 'Marquis' label, # M 101. 'Not For Sale'. 'Limited Edition' is right! Estimated only 50 copies made! This bad-boy had a few copies with a mega-rare & ultra-cool double insert! The Baby Let's Play House Insert features the first 15 frames of Elvis singing the track on the "Dorsey Brother Stage Show" 2/4/56! Almost exactly a year to the day from his SUN recording. Title & cat # in pink. The Let Yourself Go Insert is just as cool, with a '60 psychedelic design framing extraordinary '68 Comeback rehearsal shots of Elvis messing around with sexy, blonde, dancer, Susan Henning! A gold crown & Elvis' name to signify the artist on the record label, "King Elvis". Of note, in the lower L corner it states, 'Instrumental', as it also does in the notes of 'Bootleg Elvis' book. It is Not an 'instrumental'. Track opens with Darlene Love's vocals, joined by The Blossoms & then Elvis himself. We're grading the vinyl an EX as there are pressing blemishes, which is normal for boot pressings. Since its release in '78, this is the 1 & only copy we've ever had! This is quite a kick-ass, collectible Elvis boot single & ERR now has for YOU!!
