Large Sphereform single-celled herbivore that live singly or in groups. Their aerial ballets are something to behold!
Orbus play a key role in evolutionary change in other digital organisms, as they attract groups of organisms that then interact and mingle their scripts, which has resulted in the high rate of mutation seen in the EDGE of Life organisms in Summer 2010.
Food:-- EWG Leaf food
Behaviours:-- Slow moving herbivorous organism that lives singly and groups. In groups, their Aerial Ballet is quite beautiful to behold. They also tend to move into concentric groups that attract others to congregate inside them, which seems to sometimes trigger mass spawning events.
Reproduction:--
Reproduces on Touch, without inheritable mutation. Can mutate through the script swapping mechanism.
Evolutionary theory aspects:--
Development history:--
Orbus has been in development and testing at the Neuraxia, Spencer Museum of Art and HH (Use proper title) during the Summer and Autumn of 2010. During this period, the two main unique behaviours of Orbus have shown themselves, rather than the being intentionally designed into the organism. Orbus continues to be tested and developed at Neuraxia and HH.
Future developments:--
Orbus is a core organism for a planned single celled ALife ecosystem
