On the Final Exam, you will be responsible for all the material covered on Tests 1-5. It is strongly suggested that you study for the Final Exam by making sure you thoroughly understand all of the problems on Tests 1-5.
Test 5 will cover textbook sections 3.6, 3.7, 4.1, & 4.2.
Period 2 Test Date Thu 6/2
Period 4 Test Date Fri 6/3
Test 4 will cover textbook sections 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, & 3.5.
Period 2 Test Date Thu 5/12
Period 4 Test Date Thu 5/12
You have the opportunity to earn back up to 15 points lost on Test 3 by submitting Test Corrections and a Reflection. Please read and follow the below instructions carefully.
1) YOU MUST RESUBMIT YOUR ORIGNAL TEST PAPER WITH THE ASSIGNMENT. If you fail to do so, you will receive zero points on the entire assignment.
2) Assignment is due at the beginning of class on the first day of class after Spring Break. No late assignments will be accepted. If you are going to be absent that day, you must contact me in advance to make alternative arrangements for submitting the assignment.
3) Test Corrections must include a detailed, rewritten solution to all 12 Test 3 problems, and you must obtain the correct answer for each problem. If any solutions are missing, or any answers are incorrect, you will receive zero points on the entire assignment.
4) You must show appropriate and sufficient algebraic work on each problem, or you will be penalized. All work should be of "presentation" neatness and quality. Illegible or sloppy work will be penalized.
5) You must submit a one-page Reflection with the Test Corrections, or you will receive zero points on the entire assignment.
6) If, on Test 3, you committed any of the "Common Errors" listed in the table on page 55 of the textbook (and discussed in class), your Reflection must specifically identify and discuss each of these errors, and what you are doing to assure that you do not continue to make the same types of errors. Failure to do so will result in receiving zero points for the entire assignment. If you did not commit any of these errors (very few people), you may address any topic related to Test 3 in your Reflection.
7) If you received a score of 80 or higher on Test 3, you may submit Test Corrections without a Reflection, but you will be eligible for only 10 make-up points. In either case, your adjusted score will be capped at 100 points.
