June 2017 to Present – Managing Research Librarian, Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Division, New York Public Library

Administration of Art & Architecture Collection and the Picture Collection, as well as a role in managing the Division, overseeing service point operations, collection development, and establishing a Wallach Committee to advocate and support special projects as well as build upon existing endowments to realize the sustainability of the Division’s work.

March 2016 to June 2017 – Director of Library, Archives, and Museum Collections [LAMs], International Center of Photography

Director of a collaborative department designed to enhance and preserve collections strategically, support their seamless access by researchers and artists, and enhance digital discovery and educational partnerships as well as leading the Friends of LAMs, and co-leads the ICP Acquisitions Committee.

August 2001 to March 2016 – Stephanie Shuman Librarian, International Center of Photography

Director of museum and school library: supervised relocation, established catalog, cooperative digital projects, fundraising, and collection development.  Lead library instructor; founder of both Library Committee and Friends of the Library groups. Appointee to Board-led Programs Committee, Website Redesign Groups, Community Engagement Group, Committee on Work-Life, and Community Interaction [customer service] trainer.

May 2000 to August 2001 – Art Librarian, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum

Manager of art library: initial planning for retrospective conversion of library holdings in coordination with all museum’s holdings, initial planning for restored reading room in coordination with Museum Education, re-housed special collections, and provided reference support to staff and patrons worldwide.

Manager and assistant to two managers of the department’s collection of over 75,000 costumes: cataloging, filing, maintenance of the collection, administering and supervising classes and all researchers in the collection, thesaurus design and indexing of departmental holdings, and actively participated in the development and initial implementation of  The Museum System.

Clients have included Giorgio Armani USA, Christian Dior Couture, Biennale di Firenze, Chanel Couture USA, Phillips de Pury & Luxembourg, and State Hermitage Museum, LVMH.
