"Along the way," [1985] monoprint oil on paper
I studied Fine Art at SUNY New Paltz and found that I moved around a bit. Most of the work was graphic art, which was then considered the most democratic form of art, and also I had access to facilities [presses] that I knew I would not have in civilian life.
I made many etchings, lithographs, etc., but my painting teacher introduced me to a neat way to document the process of an oil painting - my pulling monoprints off of it.
After New Paltz, I studied some more - ukiyo-e with Kathy Caraccio on the Bowery, etc.
