Three Themes
January - March 2007
Three Themes (photo on left) was a chance for me to make some groupings of newer and older work. It served as a unique opportunity for me to study my own progression and directions as an artist.
The Golden Section
September - October 2005
Eye of the Arts Gallery had an all too brief run of high caliber fine arts exhibitions through the late 2005 - 2006 period. It was one of my all time favorite places to exhibit due to the visually clean viewing area and ambiance the space exuded. Gallery owners Charis and Paul stripped down the interiors of two turn of the century storefronts in downtown Ripon and created those ideal gallery spaces. They had a great sense in arranging and installing the art as well. It was a pleasure to have had the chance to exhibit there twice.
The Golden Section: Landscape Paintings (lower two photos) exhibit was a big solo project with new work. In addition to the agricultural and river themes portrayed, much of the artwork also focused on the development and use of the Golden Section Grid I have been integrating into my images.
