Golden Valley uses the square-root-of-5 rectangle (√5) and the accompanying reciprocal Golden Triangles in its composition. This grid (illustrated below) is measured using the Golden Ratio and is drawn on the surface of the linen prior to the image being created. After this step, the work is begun on location for inspiration.
The light that infuses this painting is indicative of an important artistic concern of mine: the theme of supernatural, or spiritual sense. When you view the painting, what is your reaction?
