Bunker Chute Study
Graphite, charcoal, conte crayon, prismacolor pencil, and acrylic on linen

Private Collection
This is a small study originally drawn on an unstretched linen stapled to a board that was carried on a small trek up and down the banks of the Mississippi River.
This particular sketch was begun in the Spring of 2005, buried in studio clutter for a while, and finished in 2007!

The above drawing/painting is the based on the original study which acts as a source material in terms of imagery. This studio version, however, also incorporates a version of a grid I derive from the square-root-of-5 rectangle (√5).
