Dao's main area of research is the pattern recognition and image analysis, medical imaging, and machine learning with emphasis on computer vision. He started carrier by research job at Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science and Institute for Information Technology from 1988 to 1996 and then he gained experiences in software industry for 10+ years for Dynamic Solution (US) and Harvey Nash (UK). He came back for research and education fields from 2009. His recent research includes big data, data science, artificial intelligence having 50+ papers.
