Congratulations on winning free transportation for your class(es)! We are very privileged to have funding from the Port of San Diego so that teachers have one less obstacle to overcome as they bring their students to the Living Coast. There are some important requirements that you must meet in order to receive your free bus(es).
Requirements: Your transportation costs will be paid but you are still responsible for paying admission costs.
Transportation costs will be paid after ALL attending teachers from your group have completed the THREE requirements: class pretests, class posttests, and teacher evaluation.
1. & 2. Give Program Pretest & Postest to your students.
Different this year! No more entering scores into Illuminate! We are now using Microsoft Forms, so no more paper copies of tests or manually entering scores. Everything is digital & grading is automatic. Simply give the links to your students to take on a device.
If you still prefer a hard copy of the test to give your students, please request one from Karen Quiros, karen.quiros@cvesd.org
Students need to choose their school name from the drop down list and they will need to write in their teacher name. (Please write your name on the board for the younger students to copy during the test)
Pretest link to give to your students the test corresponding to your program before your visit.
Posttest link: Give your students the test corresponding to your program within a week after your visit.
3. Complete an online Teacher Evaluation of the Program (One per attending teacher)
When all your paperwork requirements have been received, (Pretests and Posttest Scores from students and one Teacher Evaluation from each Teacher) I will then contact the District and ask them to pay for your transportation from the Port of San Diego Fund. If all requirements are not received, you will be responsible for paying for your transportation.
Transportation: Your transportation will be reserved again for you!
You do not need to reserve your own transportation this year!
Please check Tripfinder at least 2 weeks before your scheduled trip to ensure that the reservation looks accurate. CVESD Transportation Webpage
If you have any questions regarding making a bus reservation, please contact the Transportation Department at x161616.
