Pastel and Lace

Open one your images with pastel colors.

The above image is included with the supplies which are attached at bottom of page

Size is not particularly important on this tutorial, so you can use a larger image if desired.

Open the lace image and the corner in PSP or chose a corner of your own.

Only filter required is Simple but tutorial can be completed without any filters.

If white lace doesn't go well with your colors, colorize the lace pattern before you begin.

1. Select a light color from your image for your foreground and a medium, not dark, color for your background.

2. Form a gradient with your foreground and background colors.

Style is linear with angle 315, repeats 3 and invert is unchecked.

3. Image, borders, add 2 px background color.

4. Image, borders, add 20 px white and select with magic wand.

5. Pattern - find your lace pattern and set angle 0 and scale 100 - flood fill the selection.

While selected apply the following inner bevel:

6. Select none. Image, borders, 20 px white, select and

Flood fill with the foreground/background gradient.

Apply Effects, Texture, Mosaic Antique with the following settings:

7. While still selected apply the same inner bevel as above.

Select None.

8. Image, borders, Add 2 px border - background color.

9. Image, add borders 20 px white. Highlight with magic wand.

Effects, Simple filter, diamonds - keep selected.

Adjust blur, gaussian blur - radius 60.

Select None.

10. Image, add borders, 10 px white. Select with magic wand.

Flood fill with gradient.

Apply same inner bevel as above.

11. Find your corner, edit copy, paste as a new layer.

Use mover tool to move to upper left corner.

Effects, Simple, Top left mirror.

Or if you do not have the filter, then duplicate corner layer, mirror,

then duplicate that layer, image flip, then duplicate and image mirror.

Use mover tool if necessary to position the corner layers.

12. Merge all layers, export as jpg.
