This course was designed to help develop 21st century skills through curriculum and topics. A complete portfolio for the course can be found here, which also includes a staff development plan, teaching strategies assignment, and course reflection.
- Workshop- A collaborative effort created this student workshop focusing on games around the world. After an interest survey, students expressed a desire to learn more about different countries and a passion for sports. Together with some classmates, we created this website.

- Research Paper- For this course, we were to choose a topic of interest related to the library and/or 21st century skills. I chose to research ways to motivate boys to read more, which was a common problem in our school library. Included is the paper and citations.

- Unit Plan- I collaborated with a sixth grade teacher in my building who had a need for an informational research project. We discussed topic ideas and decided to do the unit plan about the scientific process. Also included is a specific lesson plan in teaching the students how to use the technology tool Prezi for the assignment.

- This course had great assignments and activities to promote collaboration and networking with other educators and professionals. In addition, there was a unit plan that designed learning experiences and assessments to align. Advocating for development of 21st century skills was a strength of this course as many projects integrated technology and skills necessary. Offering and designing profession development opportunities was a strength as well. One area for development is to facilitate student independent and collaborative efforts in inquiry.
