This course was designed to teach the basics of finding information for patrons and using it in its correct format.

Shadowing Experience Information- Part of the course included a shadowing experience of a reference librarian. I did this at Carroll University. Documents attached are: reference checklist and reflection paper.

Research Guide- One major assignment was to identify an information need of a client, research it, create a libguide, and include a bibliography. This course strengthened my knowledge of the research process, specifically in a discipline or study area. In addition, we modeled question development and responded to information needs of our client through the research guide. We discussed and gained a working knowledge of the role of the library in providing free and equitable access. One area for development is research tools using technology, as well as finding emerging technologies to fit the information needs of my patrons/clients.
