From the course syllabus, this course examines the current and emerging technological systems and software used in schools and libraries, their selection, implementation, management and evaluation as well as legal and ethical issues involved in their use.
Included are:
- Research on technology and issues- this was research done on social media in libraries.
- ALA/AASL Standards: 1, 2, 3, 7
- Module on information technology topic (group)- this was a lesson on the pathways of food (given topic) that included information technology resources.
- This course strengthened my knowledge in may of the legal and ethical issues through group discussions, readings, and activities. One area for development is that I still need to verse myself on current issues as they arise, and be sure to dedicate time to understanding and supporting relevant causes.
