This course was designed to familiarize students with different digital tools available for both students and staff.
- Hyperstudio Project- One major assignment was to create a hyperstudio stack on a topic of our choice. At that time, I had just been in a car accident that caused a concussion and permanent vision loss. I chose to research the types of vision loss, causes, and treatments. Included are: hyperstudio movie (you will see the stack in a format available for those who do not subscribe to the software) and organizer with outline.
- Newsletter- I designed a newsletter for our library using a loose template on Word. It includes an introduction about our library, book suggestions, technology tool ideas for students and staff, and a calendar tool. Included is the newsletter.

- When I took digital tools, I did feel like my students were moving faster than I. With a heavy amount of time on a Hyperstudio project (which turned out to be both paid and clumsy software), it seemed that we should spend more time on web 2.0 tools. I have personally tried to continue my professional development in the area of digital tools. We did create a few projects, functioned as part of a group, modeled some higher level thinking strategies, and evaluated both our process and product. I do want to spend more time on technological systems, different web 2.0 tools to support learning, and identifying current issues in technology as I discuss them with my peers. I have been following some technology blogs, magazines, and peer collaborators in order to keep myself current.
