Rumble PAK
The Circuit
While recreating the circuit for a standard Nintendo Rumble PAK a few things are interesting. The connector fully supports 16 address and 8 data contacts.
- Only 2 address bits are used. The topmost bits A14, A15 (zero based).
- This means that all other address bits are simply ignored.
- All data bits are used, so sending and receiving other commands could be possible.
- There is a single logic IC that is Nintendo branded and most likely very proprietary.
