¡Hola!
With that saludo, this email is really an adiós y ¡hasta el próximo año! Just to give un repaso, a review, of the last few semanas en la clase de español, nuestra clase visited ¡España! At least in spirit! After we learned about fun festivales in the different ciudades y regiones, we learned about lugares famosos en Madrid. We "visited" el Parque de Buen Retiro and took a canoe ride, viewed famous Spanish artwork of Goya, Velazquez and Picasso, ate tapas at a cafe in the Plaza Mayor, learned about the tradition of the doce uvas in the Puerta de Sol and even made time to catch a partido de fútbol, Real Madrid vs. Barcelona. After trying croquetas, pan con tomate and paella for lunch, we decided to go to the teatro to see a Flamenco performance! You journaled about your experiences around the city and discussed your favorite activities.
After nuestro viaje en España, we began planning our trip to Ecuador for the following year! We began by viewing different homes in the colonial city of Cuenca and talked about the advantages and disadvantages of living in the ciudad, campo y las afueras. You shared your casa ideal and your classmates compared and contrasted their casa perfecta. Next year, prepare to be real estate agents and persuade clients to rent or buy your casas o apartamentos on the market!
Since we spent a lot of time discussing comida típica de España and saw examples of tapas, we dedicated our end of the year fiesta to some Spanish food. The main focus was "postres" and we enjoyed tasting arroz con leche, churros y chocolate,y torta de queso. "De primero, students brought in aceitunas, ensalada mista y salsa.
Gracias a todos por un año divertido. ¡Buen trabajo! Feliz verano y nos vemos el próximo año!
