Scientific Infrastructure
In order to complement the in silico biology work going on at the centre a well equipped wet lab facility had been set up. Our R&D division has a complete research facility for microbiology, molecular biology, phytochemistry and clinical studies which work together with multidisciplinary approach at various stages of research. Currently the centre is using the lab facility for genomics, proteomics, development of novel preparations based on Ayurveda against human pathogens, In Vitro analysis of ayurvedic formulations, DNA barcoding of medicinal plants. One of the reasons behind setting up a wet lab is to make non biology students and researchers acquainted with the wet lab and providing them hands on training in biological experiments. As the lab is indulging into bio-sensor development an advanced Bioelectronics lab is also incorporated along with the wet labs.
