MPhil B Batch [2006 - 2007]

PhD Scholar, SCD, ESAT, KU Leuven Belgium

I am presently a PhD scholar in SCD, ESAT, KU Leuven Belgium, under the guidance of Prof. Bart De Moor. The main objective of my work is the analysis, design and implementation of data-driven mathematical engineering methods for the analysis of ‘omics’ data in genetic networks. Leuven is an international student city. The atmosphere is wonderful even for a new student who doesn’t know anything about Leuven. Leuven is famous for foods like chocolate, fries and waffles. Thanks to Erasmus Fellowship Scheme co-ordinated by CBi, for giving me such a wonderful opportunity.

The interdisciplinary M.Phil Bioinformatics in University of Kerala, of course was a footsteps for my research career. Throughout the course I could understand the current research work going on in bioinformatics, and what skills I have and what I need to improve. Students, please be honest in your studies. Dream about you, your career and work hard to achieve it. Don’t give up your plans, once it fails. Better opportunities are there waiting for you.
