Silpa Bhaskaran hails from Pandalam, a beautiful village in Pathanamthitta district. Silpa landed in the research world after completing her post graduation in Computational Biology from University of Kerala, graduation in Computer Science from College of Applied Sciences, Adoor and schooling at St.Paul’s Higher Secondary school, Nariyapuram and N.S.S.H.S.S. Pandalam. Her research interest includes mathematical modeling of selected gene regulatory processes which are similar to electric circuits. Silpa as a writer has authored a few scientific as well as general popular science articles in leading publications like IEEE Potentials, CSI communications and popular magazines like Vinjanakairali, Executive Knowledge Lines etc. She finds great enthusiasm in computer programming and loves to hear poems. The most exciting scenary on earth that always turns her on is the serene beauty of sea and seawaves. She believes that the greatest fortune in her life is her teachers.
