Amjesh R.

Amjesh R. hails from Kariyavattom in Thiruvananthapuram district. He is doing his PhD on full time basis. He holds an M.Phil degree in Bioinformatics. He was a student of second M.Phil batch of Centre for Bioinformatics. He acquired a post graduation in biotechnology from Bangalore University and bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram He has in-depth knowledge in molecular docking and homology modeling. He has done an excellent theoretical model for the structure of Hepatitis C Virus NS3 protease (PDB id: 2ijs). His present PhD work is on drug discovery against Hepatitis C virus. He is also guiding several project students from various educational institutes in India. He has also demonstrated a great potential and dynamism in organizing various seminars and events at the centre for bioinformatics. He is very friendly, helpful and sincere to his team members.
