Jacob Bijo Daniel

Jacob Bijo Daniel likes to be addressed as 'Bijoy'. The land of the ancient emperor Mahabali (all who from Mavelikara boasts their town to be the land of Mahabali; and they ridicule all the other claims of similar respect : http://www.mavelikara.org/, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mavelikara) has offered him the basics; and then another traditionally and socially muscular village - from the other side of the state - Tavanur, beckoned to show what it has saved for him. KCAET, on the banks of Nila, the only engineering college of Kerala Agricultural University and named after the verteran freedom fighter, being the Alma-mater, gave him the confidence to face a tougher world (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tavanur, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KCAET). He had his masters in Soil Water Engineering and bachelors in Agricultural Engineering - both from Kerala Agricultural University. He did his MPhil in 2005 (B-batch). He was very happy to do his research on venominformatics at IISc, Bangalore (passion for the venomous animals and insects like bees and scorpions, huh?). CBi would consider him as the sheep went down the wrong way, or as a misfit ! He couldn’t make the most of of his M.Phil from this centre; he went back to his original profession to make a living. Now, he is an Irrigation Engineer in Al Ryum group of companies,UAE - so as to fulfill the share of his family to the Gulf land. Earlier, he worked as the Head of the Department (Natural Resources Management) in Bodhana,Thiruvalla Social Service Society where he had the opportunity to do research on honeybee rearing, honey processing, organic agriculture etcetera; he could also set up a bio-research laboratory to improve the scope of organic agriculture and allied social reformation within the environment of Bodhana. He always claimed himself to be one of the rarest breed of engineers who gained multi-disciplinary insight, even before coming to CBi. Still he was amazed by the old school techniques followed in CBi, and still ACHU is his favorite but enigmatic guru. His hobbies include digging the net for small utilities that make simple tasks simpler; or complex tasks even more complex!! Learning new software (even if it is of no direct benefit) gives him immense pleasure - and pain for his family by engulfing most of their leisure time. Sci-Fi thrillers, stamp collection, nonsense fictions, several indoor games.
