Applications are invited for Post-Doctoral positions under State Inter University centre of Excellence in Bioinformatics (SIUCEB)

Eligibility

The applicants must be an Indian national below age of 35 yrs (relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/ST and women candidates) have obtained Ph.D degree or awaiting award of degree in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics or allied area within three years of award of their PhD from reputed Universities/Institutes with minimum 2 publications in peer reviewed journals with one publication having an impact factor of 1 and above.

Selection process:

· Evaluation of proposal given by candidates in the area of NGS – 30%

· Interview - 20%

· Grade/Marks for Masters - 5%

· Grade/Marks for MPhil – 5%

· PhD Awarded -20%

· Publications -20%

SIUCEB Post-Doctoral Fellows will be paid a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 45, 000/- per month. Also a contingency grant up to Rs. 1,00,000/-per annum, shall be given.

The terms & condition of appointment of PDF shall be as per PDF regulation of University of Kerala (2016). The tenure is one year and extendable by one more year based on outstanding performance and recommendations by an expert committee appointed by the SIUCEB Director. In exceptional cases, third year extension may also be considered.

The post-doctoral fellow shall submit a comprehensive report of the work done during each year.

Any candidate who discontinues the programme without notice and without genuine reasons (such as family movement or health issues or career opportunities) as deemed fit by the guide & HOD, the candidate are liable to pay back the fellowship received up to the last annual review. An undertaking is to be given by each candidate towards this.

Researchers should acknowledge SIUCEB support in all Publications/Patents.
