Ken Turp

Is a member of the Jersey Shore Sports Hall of Fame. Ken was a Varsity Athlete at Central Regional. He was involved in the Jersey Shore Sports Scene for 33 years. He was the first to broadcast a live interview show on the radio in Ocean County, featuring national and local sports, that was heard on WOBM radio, Toms River, NJ. He also served as a sports director. Ken joined Adelphia Cable TV, in Ocean County, doing interviews shows and broadcasting high school and college sporting events for 18 years. He did play-by-play, as well as the roll of color analyst for three radio stations and cable television covering all sports. Ken is a co-founder of the Jersey Shore summer basketball league, now a top league in the country for high school, college and pro-players. He was a player-coach in the league, and served on the Board of Directors.
