Cheryl, a 1997 Graduate, was a Varsity Award Recipient in Softball all 4 Years at Central Regional. During that time, Cheryl was selected as 1st team All County, three-time AP 1st Team All-County, three-time 1st Team All-Shore, two-time 1st Team All-State. Cheryl was chosen as the 1996 “Fast Pitch Magazine’s H.S. All American”, 1996 “Observer Ocean’s Own”, 1996 and 1997 O.C. Tournament leading hitter, and 1997 O.C. Tournament MVP. Cheryl was a 1997 Adelphia 8’s Player of the Year & Athlete of the Week and received Mon/Ocean Senior All Star Game MVP Honors. Her career records: Runs scored – 151, Hits – 160, Home Runs – 15, and batting average - .447. Cheryl attended UNC Pembroke on a full softball scholarship. She won Peach Belt All Conference Honors, Player of the Week, and two-time MVP. Current records include most hits in a season – 61 and highest season batting average .479. Cheryl was ranked for hitting in the country & top 5 in the conference.
