This figure is also called Tiroirs. It is an Irish adaptation of Tiroirs from the Richard Powers reconstruction of the Russian Mazurka Quadrille.
For Eight (Square, 8 bars)
(2) All face partner and do 7s across the set. Men slip left, after the woman on their left (his corner) but before her partner. Ladies slip right, before the man on their right (her corner), but after his partner. The ladies are quick to cross at first, and then slow down to allow the men to pass. The men are slow to allow the ladies to pass, and then quick to cross the set.
(2) All set.
(2) All face partner and do 7s across the set to home. Men slip right, before his corner but after her partner. Ladies slip left, before her corner but after his partner. This time, the men are quick to cross at first, and then slow down to allow the ladies to pass. The ladies are slow to allow the men to pass, and then quick to cross the set.

For Four (Square, 4 bars)
Facing partners, TIROIR with side couples by executing Whale's side step (ladies pass through the center).
For the men: Stamp L to the left side; Hold L, extending R to the right side; Cross R behind L; Stamp L farther to the left; Swing R over L, rapping the floor; Swing R back to the right side.
Repeat the first three counts to the right side; Stamp R to the right side; Close L to R with a stamp.
For the women, same step starting to the right side, without stamps.

All face partners and do the TIROIRS figure simultaneously straight across the set with 4 Coup de Talon.
All return to places by the same path with 3 Coup de Talon and a cadence.
