Don't Set All Around

For Six (Triple minor proper, centers reversed, 8 bars)

(2) Turn partner halfway by right

(2) Ladies turn the next man 2/3s by left. Men meet in the center by right.

(2) Men star by right. Ladies loop counterclockwise toward home.

(2) Ladies turn the remaining man by lefts until all are home.

Below are the original dance notes for this figure.

Give right hands to partners; turn by the right hand halfway to meet the next person of the opposite gender. Turn this next person 2/3rds by the left until gents meet in the middle. Gents turn by the right in the middle 2/3rds while the ladies loop over their right shoulders to their home positions. Gents turn by the left the third lady they have not previously turned in this figure, until all are back home and facing their original positions.

NOTE: the first half of the figure is slow while the second half is very fast. The whole figure should be circular (unlike Chains or Right-And-Lefts, which tend to be straight or angular). Thus, dancers should dance around each other in wide arcs, taking care not to hit other dancers. (Patrick Morris)
