Spring Ornithology 2022

Would you like to know more about our local birds? The Cayuga Bird Club will be offering our popular Spring Ornithology with Steve Kress again in Spring 2022 over Zoom, March 31 through May 19 (see full schedule). This year it will be on Thursday nights, from 7 to 9 pm. Dr. Kress’s presentations, illustrated with audio recordings, videos, and gorgeous photos, will focus each week on a group of migratory birds that are at the peak of spring migration, with discussions about bird song, migration, courtship, family life, conservation, attracting birds, and creating a bird-friendly habitat. The level is suitable for beginners, but seasoned birders also will learn many gems of info about birds they thought they knew. Busy on Thursdays? Classes also will be recorded so you can watch (or review) them at your convenience.

Registration is now closed for the 2022 course.

Scholarships are available for young people and educators. Details here.
