Bearing an express headcode in the distinctive Eastern region disc form and with full lining out. Note that lining was only applied to some locos with many getting unlined black instead.
The only 'namer' in the Claud Hamilton stable - in reality known as a rather indifferent steamer. The nameplate was actually worn by two locos - 8900/2500 (as here) and then, when that was scrapped in 1947, onto 2546/62546.
