About the Yard of the Month Program
The Bella Vista Garden Club is promoting and rewarding exemplary yard care in Bella Vista and recognizes neighbors who demonstrate above-average efforts in maintaining their property, which contributes to the overall appearance of the community at large.
All homes and businesses in Bella Vista are eligible. Nominations are for the front and side yards jointly. One yard is chosen each month by members of BVGC who chose the yard that best exemplifies uniqueness, beauty and curb appeal.

June - Yard of the Month
Congratulations to the BVGC Yard of the month for June! Matthew and Heather Hoskins of 10 Allonby Circle, Bella Vista 72714 have lived in Bella Vista for 10 years but have only been gardening for 3 years. They both take great pride in their yard and are having fun making it a great family oasis! Even their son Jackson takes part by helping pick the colors and helping his Mother plant. Heather used Pinterest as her research tool to help transform her front and side yard. Matthew has a large vegetable garden in the back as well that he has raised from seed. Together they are working on another beautiful space in the back.
The Bella Vista Garden Club thanks you for yet another example of a well-kept yard and helping to keep Bella Vista beautiful year-round!
May -Yard of the Month
Congratulations to Chris and Barbara Taylor of 12 St. Helen’s Lane in Bella Vista who were selected as the May 2020 Yard of the Month by the Bella Vista Garden Club. The Taylors finished building their house last year and moved in on June 1, 2019. When it came to designing and implementing the plan for their new yard, they wanted the grounds to be low-maintenance and have a minimalist look that was in keeping with the contemporary architecture of the house. They were really happy with the way it turned out. Even the family cat approves as you can see. Neither one of them likes to spend a ton of time on garden maintenance. They like their yard to look nice but be no muss/no fuss. Each plant was chosen with care and meaning, especially the blue spruce which has a special family memory for Chris. Barbara loves hydrangeas, so they put hydrangeas in the back yard...lots and lots of hydrangeas. “They bring me so much joy!” she says.

November - Yard of the Month
November Yard of the Month home of Randy and Rhonda Dietz of 3 Robin Ln, Bella Vista. They actually have two front yards, as the view from the Lake is just as beautiful and well cared for as the street view.
