Pulsed Doppler

Pulsed Doppler is the form of Doppler we use to obtain the most detail about blood flow.  

Pulsed Doppler is a form of spectral Doppler that has excellent range resolution.

Using pulsed Doppler's sample volume we can accurately detect flow from a specific region of the body and display that flow information on a spectral display.

Using angle-corrected pulsed Doppler we can accurately determine:

• direction of flow

• velocity of flow

• character of flow
