Array transducers

Array transducers are the transducers you are using every day.  As the name implies, array transducers contain an array of tiny crystals that are used to produce the sound beam.

There are two major types of array transducers:

• linear arrays

• phased arrays

The major difference between the two is how the transducer is fired to produce each scan line.
