Lladro, the world renowned maker of fine porcelain art, joins the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America with the introduction of a new collectible figurine. The "Classic Scout" is a 9" by 4" porcelain piece inspired by the illustrations of Norman Rockwell and the uniform worn in the 1970's.
The artistic team at Lladro used traditional sculpting techniques to create pieces in clay. Then, the original model is fragmented and each part is reproduced exactly in porcelain using molds. Once the figurine has been recomposed, it is decorated and then fired in the kiln at high temperatures, where it takes on its final appearance.
Each Lladro BSA® 100th Anniversary "Classic Scout" figurine collectible includes a certificate of authenticity in the box and will be available in January 2010 for purchase at Lladro Boutiques
