The Baltimore Area Council, Boy Scouts of America is one of the largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations in Central Maryland. “We Remember”

You don’t want to miss this event, since it will be the 23rd Anniversary of the Memorial Flag Ceremony.
For those who have not attended in the past years, this is a service project where our scouts place approximately 49,000 flags on graves of our honored dead. Areas and coordinators are as follows:
(Scouts will place flags at Garrison Park Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, May 27, 2010)
Registration begins at Baltimore National Cemetery, Loudon Park Veterans Cemetery at 5:45 PM with flag placement starting at 6:30 PM. There will be a program beginning around 7:15PM. We will have members of several Veterans groups that will be participating in our program. As in past years, we will be out of the cemetery by 8:00 PM. A specially designed patch is available to participants to commemorate this years We Remember Memorial Flag Ceremony and the 100th Anniversary of Scouting.
100 For 100th Anniversary James E. West
Baltimore Area Council is please to announce the one hundred for 100th Anniversary James E. West Endowment Campaign to assist needy Scouts in Baltimore Area Council with there summer camp experience though campership resources. The James E. West Fellowship Award is recognition for individuals who contribute $1,000 or more in cash or securities to their local council endowment trust fund.
Once a commitment has been made you will be issued a limited edition commemorative Baltimore Area Council Shoulder Strip. Upon completion of your commitment you will receive a James E. West Square Knot Patch, Certificate. Again to qualify for these incentives and payment program this contribution must not diminish or replace your annual gift to the council’s Friends of Scouting Campaign.
2010 Anniversary Medal
All registered Scouts of the Baltimore Area Council are eligible to earn this 100th Anniversary Medal commemorating our Star-Spangled Camporee and Celebration on October 1 -3, 2010. This medal signifies the long-standing relationship Scouting has had the last 100 years in performing “Splendid Service” for our communities in Central Maryland.
