Keith Banks Competition 2023

KEITH BANKS TRIPLES 29TH OCTOBER 2023

16 teams from the Breckland League entered the annual competition, playing in 4 groups of 4 with the winners and runners up going through to the pre drawn ¼ finals.

League 1 Winners were, Connaught Annabelle Sopp, Joan Knox and David Aldous

League 1 Runners up were, Wymondham Mary Fisher, Hayley Osbourne and Andrew Jackson

League 2 Winners were, Carleton Rode Graham Mobbs,Terry Newby and Karl Newby

League 2 Runners up were, Harling Griffin Jean Deathridge, Glen Hume and George Hume

League 3 Winners were, Wymondham Jack Marshall, John Jeffery and Trevor Brown

League 3 Runners up were, Hingham Margaret Hunter, Jhon Hunter and Mike White

League 4 Winners were, Hingham Eugene Gillan, Will Townsend and Joy Townsend

League 4 Runners up were, Thetford Clive Eke, Jason Martin and Peter Harvey

In the knockouts

Game 1, Winner league 1, played runner up league 4, Winners were Thetford 19-4

Game 2, Winner league 2, played runner up league 3, Winners were Carleton Rode 17-7

Game 3, Winner league 3, played runner up league 2, Winners were Wymondham 14-6

Game 4, Winner league 4, played runner up league 1, Winners were Hingham 10-3

In the semi final

Game 5 Winner game 1, played winner game 2 Winners were Thetford 13-12

Game 6 Winner game 3 played winner game 4 Winners were Wymondham 17-3

In the final

Thetford took a single on the1st end; Wymondham took 2 on the 2nd.

 3rd end went to Thetford with 3 shots. 4th end single to Wymondham 5th end a single to Wymondham 4-4 the score. 6th end a single to Wymondham to take the lead. 7th end a single to Thetford levels the score. 8th end a single to Thetford.6-5.  9th end a measure for shot and Thetford get it they lead 7-5. 10th end single to Thetford 8-5 with 1 end to play. Last end ,a great bowl by Trevor to get the 3 they needed to draw the game and force an extra end. On the extra end a single to Thetford secures the win.

A great final with super bowls played by all. Well done all.
